How much will it cost?
First and foremost, we are happy to give free employment law advice in the form of an initial consultation.
When it comes to advising you on the actual settlement agreement, your employer will normally include a clause in the agreement to provide for a contribution towards your legal costs. This is usually between £250 and £500 plus VAT, but it can be more or less.
We guarantee that you will not be charged more than the amount your employer is prepared to contribute for advising you on the terms of the settlement agreement.
That is not to say that we will not try and negotiate a higher contribution for legal fees direct with your employer if this is necessary, but you will not be liable for any extra amount yourself if your employer does not budge on the level of contribution.
If you are not happy with the terms of the settlement agreement and would like us to negotiate a higher compensation sum we may be prepared to act on a no win- no fee basis,
